Thrive USA features on wind energy podcast
ATT is thrilled to feature in the latest episode of the Uptime Wind Energy Podcast. In July, we took a team to Boston in the United States to deliver the pilot of Thrive USA, a new mobile program designed for an American audience. With the expansion of the offshore wind industry and so many of our clients operating on America’s east coast, it seemed timely.
Amongst our participants, we were delighted to welcome members of the global health and safety organization G+ and two special guests, Joel Saxum and Allen Hall. They present the Uptime Wind Energy Podcast. ATT director, Dermot Kerrigan, joined them for this episode to talk about how the immersive nature of the programs and the emotional engagement make ATT’s training impactful and memorable.
Joining Dermot, and sharing their thoughts and responses to the day, are Global Vice President of Energy Transition at Jacobs, Graeme Coooper, and Deputy Project HSE Manager at Ørsted, Sara DaSilva, who comments: ‘I do see the benefit of a group coming in, making it very realistic and getting the hearts and minds of all the workers.’
About Thrive USA
Thrive USA is based on the same sound psychological, neuroscientific and learning theory principles as the Thrive safety leadership program ATT created for Ørsted. The hard-hitting, multi-media narrative examines the build-up to a fatal incident on an offshore load-out. Participants then explore the role of communication in workplace safety.
The Practical Safety Leadership workshop gives people an understanding of their role in safety and the opportunity to learn and apply practical communication tools. The feedback from the pilot program has been incredibly positive and we cannot wait to start delivering Thrive USA for our colleagues in the U.S.
