Thrive wins Humber Renewables 2022 award
ATT are delighted to announce that the Thrive Safety Leadership Center, developed in partnership with Ørsted, is the winner in the Excellence in Renewable Skills and Training category at the 2022 Humber Renewables Awards, which took place last night (9 June 2022).
The £1.4 million purpose-built facility in Immingham is the backdrop for the multi-media Thrive Safety Leadership program designed to challenge behaviors and attitudes to health and safety. All Ørsted and contractor personnel were inducted through Thrive during the construction of Hornsea Two, the world’s largest offshore wind farm.
ATT Director, Dermot Kerrigan, said: “We are delighted that Thrive has been recognised with this prestigious award. Thanks to Ørsted’s vision and investment, there is a safety leadership center of excellence on the Humber to support the growing renewables sector and other industries in the region for years to come.”
Orsted’s Senior Project Manager for Hornsea Two, Jason Ledden, said: “We could not be more pleased that Thrive has received such worthy recognition from the Humber Renewables Awards. We hope that this acknowledgement will encourage even more businesses to sign up and take part in this legacy project, which aims to make a real difference to safety on the Humber.”
Thrive has created over 60 new jobs and contracts in the area since it opened in 2020. The Thrive Safety Leadership program is valuable for people working in maritime, renewables and related sectors and companies committed to a positive health and safety culture.
